"Don't understand" needs to translate into "Tonight I am reading technical literature and watching videos and applying what I read and watched". You don't have to spend a dime right now. There are free Kontakt sample libraries out there. Your first order of business is to download the free Kontakt player ( ) and figure out how to get a sample library running through it. This includes reading technical literature, downloading things, watching videos. This isn't a 1-2-3 pushbutton environment. So if you are serious about this type of music creation, you should learn Kontakt. A lot of sound libraries target that ecosystem. NI does have an important standard: Kontakt. You don't have to use NI libraries at all if you don't want to (in fact many of the premier sound libraries are not NI). You do not need NI hardware to make NI orchestral libraries work. ![]()
